Grahame Cooper

Grahame retired in 2016 from a successful career in pensions to pursue his love of sailing, the outdoors and travel. He is a commercially endorsed Coastal Skipper who is continuing to work towards his Yachtmaster offshore and cruising instructor qualifications. He has previously worked as a Flotilla Skipper in Greece with one of our friendly rivals and joins Seafarer because they cover a significant number of sailing areas and he wants to visit as many of them as possible over the next few years, to meet as many of our guests as he can, to share their love of life and taste for other cultures. He has many life experiences to share and many stories to tell. He’s looking forward to hearing all yours too.

Amy Jenkins

Amy joins Seafarer for 2021 for her first season, fter graduating last year with a degree in hospitality management. She has been sailing for years, competing at national level in Optimists from a very young age. Now with her RYA Day Skipper practical under her belt, she is looking forward to putting her sailing experience to good use and ensure you have a great holiday in the Dodecanese Islands of Greece.

Kathryn (Kat) is a RYA Day Skipper working towards Yachtmaster theory. Kathryn is British, BSc in Outdoor studies and very passionate about the environment. As a couple we have many travellers tales and we can’t wait to have a beer with you.

Tom Knight

Prior to joining Seafarer this season, I have been working in the Ionian for 6 years. I’m glad to say I’ve learnt lots of skills along the way. I started off as 1st mate on a flotilla and from there got involved in the engineering, working on those skills year round led me to progress through flotilla engineer to base manager. The majority of my sailing is in the Ionian and so I know the sailing area very well, but I’ve also endured harsh conditions in the Solent to get my Day Skipper! I’m happy that Seafarer has given me the opportunity to be the Base Manager for 2021 in Agia Eufimia and I’m sure we will have a fantastic season in Kefalonia.

Ric Windsor

Having holidayed in the Med for 9 years on yachts, I decided it was time to make the jump and make my holiday, my job. In 2017 I was a first mate on my first ever working flotilla, and after that 1st season I caught the “bug”. Over the years, I developed my engineering skills, working throughout winters, with yachts on the dry, running the dry docks, and during the summers I took the role of Flotilla Engineer. From a sailing perspective, I learned in the Med, but I got my qualifications in the UK with harsher conditions and of course tide. I then joined Seafarer in August 2020, as a Base Manager in Kefalonia, for a new challenge. I am now skippering our fantastic Dodecanese flotilla from Kos.

Louise Waugh

After helping her partner Calum in the Sporades in 2019 and starting our new Corinth flotilla in 2020, Louise returns to Seafarer for the 2021 season to expand her wealth of local knowledge and share her favourite spots on our unique Saronic Gulf and Corinth flotilla.

Vicci Wilson

Vicci is a former hospitality events manager and ski instructor.  Returning to seafarer after a successful season with her partner Karl establishing the Thailand flotilla route and adventure.
Vicci currently holds the coastal skipper qualification with a view to attain her offshore certification by the end of the year.
She is working towards her master 500 and wants to dedicate her future in the marine industry, eventually working on commercial operations. However before life gets too serious she wants to spend the next few years having fun in the sun with the seafarer family to combine her passion for customer service, hospitality & and sailing the seas.
Being an outdoor enthusiast she is looking forward to another Mediterranean season after falling in love with Greece last year. She has an uncontrollable love of exploring so if she is not on the lead boat you have a good chance of finding her on a paddle board encouraging the flotilla to join her snorkelling or taking a walk to visit historic sights and sponging up the local culture.

Karl Fisher

Karl returns to the Seafarer family for Mediterranean season for 2020 having just returned from trail blazing and developing Seafarer’s Thailand flotilla during winter 2019/2020 with his partner Vicci. Karl is a yachmaster ocean instructor and marine engineer and has lived on yachts, delivered boats, and worked in the marine industry for many years, all around the world. As a registered nurse he also has to complete his clinical nursing revalidation practice in the UK from time to time, however most of the time he is enjoying life out on the water, he says nothing beats messing about on boats! Karl loves the Mediterranean, with its diverse cultures, fascinating history, delicious food, and amazing cruising grounds. He is looking forward to sharing the season with you and making sure you have an awesome holiday and experience with Seafarer.

Sarah Whitcher

Sarah has spent a majority of her life either in or under water. She has been living outside the UK for the last 12 years. She lived in Thailand for 10 of those years establishing her freediving business, and left in 2018 to embark on her life long dream to become a sailor.

Upon completion of her RYA Day Skipper she then embarked her sailing life on Darren’s yacht sailing around the Ionian and Peloponnesus.

Sarah is known for her phone, wallet and other valuable items retrieval from the sea bed due to her freediving background. She has a knack for organising fun events and loves making up her own (alcoholic and non alcoholic) cocktail recipes.

She is looking forward to guiding you around the southern waters of Croatia and Montenegro and sharing her love of the sea, above and below.

Darren Beacroft

Darren spent 15 plus years as a chief and lead mechanic in Formula 1. Working for Williams, B.A.R , Honda F1 racing and Brawn GP. He has always had a love of the Sea and after a brief midlife crisis decided to follow his dreams to become a professional sailor and qualified as a RYA Yachtmaster in March 2020. He can be often found busting a few yoga shapes and is a keen freediver, thanks to Sarah’s influence. He has spent many months sailing the Ionian and Peloponnesus with Sarah aboard his yacht Dolphin. Apart from his other talents, Darren loves to make mouth watering meals ranging from authentic pizzas to Indian curries.
