Daisy Rex

Marcus Luxton

My name is Marcus and I’m from Exmoor in Devon.  I’ve had a varied background, primarily in horses, competing in my youth and progressing to become a Farrier as a career path.
My sporting interests have included playing rugby to county level and rallying cars, competing in a national championship.
I took up up sailing 15 years ago after a sailing holiday in the Caribbean and haven’t looked back.
After 25 years of shoeing horses I felt like a change of direction and wanted to find work doing what I love, I’m very happy to have found this role working within Seafarer Holidays.

Yvet

Yvet was born in the Ukraine, in a big city far from the sea….but it was calling to her even then, which eventually led her to Greece and to Angelo. 6 year ago they bought their own yacht and they have been living aboard since then, cruising the beautiful waters of the Dodecanese. Yvet is looking forward to her third season with Seafarer and ensuring you have a great flotilla holiday with us.

Angelo Papafotis

Vaggelis (Angelo, as he likes to be known) working at sea is like working from home (something most have recent experience of!). He has been a seaman since the age of twelve, working on a family fishing boat for 18 years in local waters before deciding to explore further afield, working as a master on a 37 metre vessel in Sierra Leone. Sailing became a passion some years ago, sailing for pleasure with friends, turning from leisure trips to regattas over the years. He knows the islands of the Dodecanese intimately and is responsible for your safety during your trip to these wonderful islands.

Peter Leadbeater

Peter joins Seafarer in 2021 having left his corporate life behind him for now. Peter has previously owner a motor boat and a yacht in the UK and has a number of long distance deliveries under his belt. He looks forward to seeing you in the Ionian and to share his passion for sailing with likeminded people, giving them a great flotilla holiday in the process.

Niel & Kat

Our new Kefalonia lead crew, Niel and Kat have been together for several years, meeting out on flot as many of us do! Niel is a RYA Commercial Endorsed Yachtmaster OffShore and was a Cruising Instructor. Niel was born in South African with Swiss heritage, and he has a professional business attitude to work as well as a fun outgoing side too.
Kathryn (Kat) is a RYA Day Skipper working towards Yachtmaster theory. Kathryn is British, BSc in Outdoor studies and very passionate about the environment. As a couple we have many travellers tales and we can’t wait to have a beer with you.

Vicci Wilson

Vicci is a former hospitality events manager and ski instructor.  Returning to seafarer after a successful season with her partner Karl establishing the Thailand flotilla route and adventure.
Vicci currently holds the coastal skipper qualification with a view to attain her offshore certification by the end of the year.
She is working towards her master 500 and wants to dedicate her future in the marine industry, eventually working on commercial operations. However before life gets too serious she wants to spend the next few years having fun in the sun with the seafarer family to combine her passion for customer service, hospitality & and sailing the seas.
Being an outdoor enthusiast she is looking forward to another Mediterranean season after falling in love with Greece last year. She has an uncontrollable love of exploring so if she is not on the lead boat you have a good chance of finding her on a paddle board encouraging the flotilla to join her snorkelling or taking a walk to visit historic sights and sponging up the local culture.
