There is no better way to discover the second largest island in the Mediterranean than by sailing your own yacht. Our base is located in Olbia – the Northeastern coast of Sardinia – and is ideally situated for exploring a range of enticing destinations.

Explore the rugged shores and sandy white beaches of the Sardinian coastline where Seafarers will be spoilt for choice in terms of picturesque, sheltered anchorage and snorkelling/diving spots. Sail along the chic Costa Smeralda – glitzy haven of the rich and famous – and discover the many islands of the Maddalena Archipelago. You could even navigate the Strait of Bonifacio for the charming south coast of Corsica.

Sardinia bareboat charter

Sardinia lies in the heart of the Mediterranean and is swept by prevailing Northeasterly winds which are ideal for sailing and help to keep humidity at bay during the long, hot summer months. Visitors will enjoy average temperatures of 26-30ºC in the summer and mild winters. The area is perhaps not suitable for beginners. You can expect Force 5-6 winds of 20-25 knots. Sailors should be cautious of reefs when sailing and must be careful not to anchor in prohibited, protected bays.

Stay options

Corsica

Combine your sailing holiday with a stay in the distinctively more Italian-feeling French island of Corsica. Stroll around the historic Citadel of Bonifacio and wander through the narrow streets of the old town in search of independent boutiques and local wines.

Olbia

Often overlooked by visitors, in favour of the glamourous Costa Smeralda, Olbia is a refreshingly authentic and affordable Sardinian town bursting with rich heritage and ambient, traditional restaurants. Visit the lively hub of Corso Umberto for shopping and cafes or the more low-key Piazza Matteotti.
