Transit the spectacular Corinth Canal
This is a great chance to kick off a brand new season, with a fantastic 2 week voyage culminating with the iconic Corinth canal.
A one-way route to sail our fleet from our winter home in Lavrion, Athens to our summer base in Corinth. Starting on the 17th of April, we’ll explore the northern island of the Cyclades, the Argolic and Saronic gulfs, a mixture of islands and the Peloponnese coast.
Our voyage starts in the rejuvenated town of Lavrion before heading to Kea and Kithnos to the east. We then head west across to the Argolic gulf, stopping in Hydra, one of the prettiest of islands. Historic Monemvasia, Yachtie Poros and Epidavros are all on the route, with the Corinth Canal transit as the icing on the cake.
This delivery voyage is a chance to explore a fantastic part of Greece, with longer sailing distances and some open water passages to satisfy the sailors, as well as hisory, culture and breathtakingly beautiful harbours and villages to delight everyone.
The climate in the area presents various and contrasting forms due to high mountains close to the coast in conjunction with the bays extend deep into the land. The prevailing winds blow from North to North East with a strength of force 3-4. The average air-temperatures in April – May are 18 – 22 Celsius while the sea-temperature is 18 Celsius and sea state usually calm.
