Why Choose a Thailand Flotilla?

Intermediate /Advanced Flotilla Sailing – Level 2+
Tidal Navigation
Excellent Sailing Breezes In Protected Waters
Visit The Phi Phi Islands and “James Bond” Island
An exotic adventure visually and culturally.

New in 2020, our newest addition to the Seafarer flotilla portfolio is another exclusive flotilla option for those that yearn to explore beyond the Mediterranean whilst still getting the support that all Seafarer flotillas receive. Explore the best of the northern parts of the Phang Nga Bay, visiting Ko Khao Phing Kan, the island made famous by the James Bond film “The man with the golden gun”.

The southern route also visits other much photographed and filmed locations, so for movie buffs, there are some great sights to be seen, including the Phi Phi islands, the iconic image from the film “The Beach”.

Thailand has so much to offer, and its warm and friendly people are keen for us to experience the culture and cuisine of this beautiful part of asia. Sailing here is tidal – a great opportunity to brush up on some skills that may be lying dormant in your locker!

The Weather

Our Thailand flotilla season runs from January to mid April. Temperatures range from the mid to high 20s . You can expect a little rain, however January to April are the driest months of the year. Sunshine is consistent, with an average of 8 hours per day. Sea temperature is high, thanks to the relatively shallow waters, with an average of 28 to 29 degrees centigrade. Prevailing winds are from the north, north west and are typically force 3-4, locally 5.

Note: Flotilla routes may vary during the season according to weather and operating conditions. Our flotilla crew will keep you fully briefed each day.

Sail and Stay

The area offers limitless possibilities to go exploring or relax at a superb beach resort pre and post cruise  We offer options to extend your stay in a beach hotel in Phuket or take a connecting flight to Thailand’s exciting capital Bangkok for a couple of days before your return flight to the UK. There are also possibilities in neighbouring countries such as Malaysia and Vietnam.  Talk to one of our consultants who will be happy to assist you with a tailor made package.

Cabin Charter

There are many reason why you may not wish to charter your own yacht – perhaps you are travelling alone, or are unsure about the tidal conditions and feel your experience or qualifications are not quite there. In any event, you can still enjoy the flotilla experience aboard our lead yacht on a cabin charter. You’ll be in the hands of a our professional crew, with breakfast and light lunch provided every day and you will get to enjoy the social side of the flotilla each evening, either dining ashore as a group, or eating on-board under the stars, depending upon the day’s destination.
