Orhaniye Flotilla

Unveiling Turkey's Turquoise Coast by Sail

We are back in Turkey for 2024 with one and two week flotillas – exploring our favourite part of the Turkish coast. What’s more, we are doing so in style with a fantastic fleet, the oldest of which is a 2020 model!

Our base in Orhaniye gives you the opportunity to explore the Datca Peninsula and the surrounding area in the company of probably the most experienced flotilla lead crew in Turkey and longest serving Seafarer lead crew, Ipek and Silar. Many of your fellow sailors on these exclusive 2 week reunion flotillas will be past guests and friends who know and love this beautiful stretch of Turkish coastline.

From our base in Palmiye Marina, Orhaniye, we offer two  week holidays exploring the beautiful Gulf of Hisaronu. Your first week takes in Datca and Knidos, and the second week takes you east, exploring the bays towards Sogut and Ciftlik. All in all a wonderful fortnight combining exploration with relaxation in an idyllic sailing area.

Orhaniye Flotilla Knidos

Area Information

Tucked away on Turkey’s southwestern coast, Orhaniye offers a charming escape. This delightful town sits nestled on the Bozburun Peninsula, known for its rugged beauty and serene coves. Here, traditional fishing villages hug the coastline, while hidden bays with crystal-clear waters beckon for exploration.

Venture further west and you’ll discover the Datça Peninsula, a treasure trove of natural wonders and historical intrigue. Scenic hiking trails wind through fragrant pine forests, leading to breathtaking panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. Dotted along the coastline, ancient ruins whisper stories of bygone eras, while charming seaside towns offer a taste of authentic Turkish culture.

Weather & Sailing Conditions

Our Orhaniye flotilla runs in May and September/October for 2024. You can expect warm and sunny conditions and great sailing breezes, typically force 4-5 which die away as the sun goes down.

Orhaniye flotilla holiday routes may vary during the season according to weather and operating conditions. Our flotilla crew will keep you fully briefed each day.

Routes

The Orhaniye Flotilla runs a number of different routes with one and two week options. For the one week routes, the Sogut option heads south and east around the peninsula while the Datca route heads west. The two week option in September combines these two into an epic coastal odyssey.
