The Cyclades Explorer Flotilla – November 2025

An adventure through the Cyclades Islands

For the first time, we are ending our Saronic Gulf season with a voyage of discovery though the Cyclades.

Starting from our winter home port of Korfos, we will head east to the Northern end of the Cyclades islands, and, after paying homage to Poseidon at the cape of Sounion, head to Kea to begin our circular adventure south through the islands, to Mykonos and as far south as Paros before starting our return on the western edge of the archipelago, taking in Serifos and Kithnos amongst others.

We’ve got extensive knowledge of the area, and our fantastic lead crew will ensure we see the best of this fantastic part of Greece during your 2 week voyage. November can be a changeable time weather-wise, so as sailors, we won’t surprised if the route needs to be adapted to suit the variable conditions that we will certainly experience. Wherever we go, you can be sure that our crew will make sure we go to some great locations, with great local cuisine and a cold drink to round of some great sailing days in the warming Aegean sun.

Area Information

The Cyclades are a challenging sailing area and our Explorer Flotilla is for those who are looking for some serious sailing amongst the changing character of the island chain that sits squarely in the centre of the Aegean. Whilst these islands are all now well-connected to Athens via ferries and local airports, historically they were quite isolated, which means they all have distinct identities, with local delicacies changing from island to island.

Our route takes in a variety of islands, from Kea, a gem hiding in plain sight close to Athens, to Tinos, home to the greatest pilgrimage sight in all of Greece, known internationally as Our Lady of Tinos. Further south is not so holy, but legendary, Mykonos, where worship happens at a different pace! Pretty Naoussa on Paros is as far south as we go, via Syros, the capital of the Cyclades.

After a day off to recharge the batteries, it’s time to head north, visiting the western Cycladic islands of Sifnos, Serifos and Kithnos on our way back into the Saronic Gulf and home to our winter base of Korfos.

Weather & Sailing Conditions

The weather in November can be changeable, with typical daytime temperatures in the mid 20s with cooler evenings. Wind strength is typically force 3 to 5, although be prepared for stiffer breezes at this time of year. The water temperature is a pleasant 20 degrees, so still great for swimming.

Explorer flotilla routes are always dependent on weather, and itineraries can be affected completely by long range forecasts. Our flotilla crew will keep you fully briefed each day.

This will still have all the benefits of sailing as part of a flotilla, meeting others in the evenings or during the day, organised activities for the kids as well as all the usual benefits of yachting, like exploring, swimming in secluded bays during the day, and the simple joy of travelling under sail.
