    Sailors can expect offshore north-westerly winds of 15-20 knots. The area is exposed to the Meltemi winds which pick up in the afternoon, reaching Force 3-5 - or occasionally Force 6-7 - alongside local winds and katabatics. You can be assured or ‘ashored’ of many sheltered anchorages and protective coves when you disembark for the evening in search of delicious Turkish cuisine and a raki nightcap.
