Pyrolyse is the Dufour 44 Performance at our RYA training centre in Split, Croatia, and she is also your home for the week of your course. This versatile 44ft yacht is perfect for beginners as well as experienced sailors, thanks to easy handling, comfortable living space and exciting performance in all wind conditions.
Designed by Umberto Felci, the Dufour 44 Performance is a fast, responsive cruiser, so you master stress-free manoeuvres and experience the joy of sailing. She is RYA coded and meets all local safety requirements.

Pyrolyse Layout

There are two aft cabins with a shared heads/bathroom, as well as a larger en-suite bow cabin with a double bed and two bunks. The starboard aft cabin is reserved for the instructor. All cabins have hatches and fans for ventilation, with full bedding throughout the season, and the saloon converts to a double bed at a £50 discount, with no single supplement.
Shared Spaces
Inside, there is a generous saloon seating area, a fully equipped galley and a chart and navigation station. There is 12v charging in the saloon, plus 220v shore power when berthed, and soft bags stow under the seating.
On Deck
Exterior
The comfortable cockpit has a single steering wheel, with a bimini for shade and a sprayhood for foul weather. Sailing power comes from a fully battened mainsail with a lazy bag and a large roller genoa.
Safety & Navigation
Pyrolyse meets all RYA and local safety coding requirements. Equipment includes inflatable lifejackets for all crew, a liferaft, multiple VHF radios, jackstays, gas and smoke detectors and other specialist safety gear.
