How the Fethiye flotilla works

  • Two routes from Fethiye, sailed in alternate weeks
  • Combine both routes for an epic two-week holiday
  • Flotillas run from Saturday to Saturday
  • Yachts are ready by 17:00 on day one; you disembark at around 09:00 on the last day
  • Transfers from Dalaman airport take roughly 60 minutes

Fethiye flotilla weather and sailing conditions

Sailing conditions are reliable on a Turkey flotilla, with north-westerly winds of force 2 to 4, occasionally 5 to 6, from late morning to late afternoon. These fade as the sun goes down, giving a calm night at anchor in one of the numerous sheltered bays and anchorages.

The sailing season runs from early May to late October, with temperatures into the high 30s during August.

Because we are an independent company, we keep our prices highly competitive: if you see a like-for-like product cheaper elsewhere, let us know and we will beat it.

Specifically, the guarantee applies to yacht and accommodation rates on our Beach Club, Flotilla, Learn to Sail and Cabin Charter programmes operated by Seafarer, and is subject to availability at the time of booking.

Not included: yacht fuel (you pay for your fuel at the end of your charter), mooring charges (except at the flotilla base), extra fuel or water, food and drinks, and personal items such as laundry. For sail and stay holidays, transfers from the yacht base to your accommodation are usually excluded and payable locally, unless you book a flight-inclusive package.

Skippered flotilla sailing

These yachts are usually skippered by guests who hold the right qualifications, but we can also provide a skipper if you have no previous sailing experience. You still get all the benefits of sailing as part of a flotilla: meeting others in the evenings or during the day, organised activities for children, and all the usual pleasures of yachting, from exploring and swimming in secluded bays to the simple joy of travelling under sail.

Getting to the Fethiye flotilla

There are plenty of ways to reach our base in Fethiye, whether you’re joining us for the week or combining it with a longer trip. We’re in Fethiye Marina, right in the heart of the town, which is easy to reach by public and private transport. Seafarer flotillas in Turkey run from Saturday to Saturday: yachts are usually ready to board by 17:00 on the first day, and you then disembark at around 09:00 at the end of the flotilla.

  • Flights

    Direct Saturday flights to Dalaman International Airport from London, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol, Leeds and Manchester, as well as flights from the UK and other European airports through the week.


  • Bus and taxi

    Direct transfers from Dalaman airport to the marina take roughly 60 minutes. Regular dolmuş buses run from Fethiye centre to the surrounding area, including Ölüdeniz, and long-distance buses go all over Turkey.


  • Ferry

    Ferries run from Fethiye to Rhodes, with connections to Symi and the other Greek islands.
