The Bavaria 39 is an excellent training yacht with a simple rig, including an in-mast furling mainsail and a roller furling genoa. Because she is comprehensively equipped for RYA training, Orestis offers comfortable accommodation for a maximum of 5 students in 3 double cabins, one of which is en suite.
She also has excellent sailing capabilities, and she is manageable and responsive under power in close-quarters situations. You can also sail on her at our RYA training centre in Greece, alongside the Harmony 42s Anna and Bartholome.

Cabins & Sleeping
The Bavaria 39 Orestis has three cabins: two at the back of the yacht with a shared heads/bathroom, as well as a larger en-suite cabin in the bow. However, the starboard aft cabin is reserved for the instructor. All cabins also have hatches and fans for ventilation, plus full bedding for different seasons.
Shared Spaces
The interior is also light and airy, with a large seating area, a fully equipped galley/kitchen and a navigation station. There is 12v charging in the saloon, as well as 220v plugs on shore power. In addition, soft bags can be stored under the seating area.

Meanwhile, the cockpit at the stern offers comfortable seating and a removable single wheel for steering. A large bimini provides sun protection while the sprayhood handles foul weather. Sailing power comes from an in-mast furling mainsail, as well as a large roller genoa.
Safety
The Bavaria 39 Orestis is fully compliant with both Greek and UK coding. For example, equipment includes inflatable lifejackets for all crew, a liferaft, multiple radios, jackstays, gas and smoke detectors, and other specialist safety equipment.
