New Winter Sailing Courses In Greece

We have long recognized that the Mediterranean sailing season could be much longer than it is and that the weather is suitable for sailing for all of November and into early December in parts of Greece. The same goes for February and early spring, with sunny days being the rule rather than the exception from February onwards.
It is actually flight programs to seasonal destinations that have dictated the start and finish dates in our various resorts, but with our return to the Saronic Gulf with our new base at Corinth utilizing flights into Athens, gives year-round flight availability.

We already extended our flotilla season this year with our explorer flotilla running from Corinth for the first 2 weeks of November. We are now doing the same for our Greece based RYA sailing school, moving our base from the Ionian to Lavrion, near Athens for the November to April period.

We will be operating a range of courses including the standard RYA Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper and Competent Crew courses, as well as special mile builder and Yachtmaster prep voyages.

Embarkation will be from the port of Lavrion, near Athens and courses will be run aboard our spacious and comfortable Bavaria 46 with 4 cabins (2 en suites) and heating for those cooler nights. The sailing area will include the Saronic and Western Cyclades Islands as well as the Gulf of Euboea which offers strong currents of up to 5 knots, ideal for practicing tidal handling techniques.

Courses are keenly priced at just £599 for 6 days of tuition (7 nights onboard)
