More about our sailing guides

Our sailing holiday guides draw on the experience of the crews who run our flotillas, beach clubs and RYA training centres, so the advice comes from time on the water rather than from a brochure. We have been taking guests sailing in Greece since 1995, and today our holidays also include Croatia, Turkey, Sicily, the British Virgin Islands and Thailand.

The destination guides describe each sailing area: typical passages, harbours and anchorages, the winds to expect and the best months to go. Our sailing tips cover practical skills such as stern-to mooring and anchoring, choosing the right yacht and mainsail, and what to pack. If you are new to sailing, the learn to sail guides explain RYA courses and qualifications such as Day Skipper and the ICC, and you can see the full course structure on the RYA website.

Families will find ideas for sailing with children and our beach clubs at Nikiana and Poseidon, and the news section covers new routes, events and life at our bases. Each guide links to the holidays it describes, so when a route or a course catches your eye you can check dates and prices, or ask our sales team to help you plan. We add new sailing guides through the season, so check back before your next trip.
