From the Saronic Gulf to the Ionian Islands via the Corinth Canal
See the changing face of Greece as you sail west from the Saronic Gulf, through the iconic Corinth Canal.
This is a one-way delivery route to sail our fleet from our winter base to their summer home in Kefalonia. The route starts with transit of the Corinth canal, a “bucket list” item on any sailor’s agenda. Once through, we will be exploring the Corinth Gulf, the Gulf of Patras, passing under the Rion Bridge, visiting Patras and Messolonghi before Zakynthos, Ithaca and Kefalonia.
We’ve got extensive knowledge of the area, and our fantastic lead crew will ensure we see the best of this fantastic part of Greece during your 2 week voyage. April can be a changeable time weather-wise, so as sailors, we won’t surprised if the route needs to be adapted to suit the variable conditions that we will certainly experience. Wherever we go, you can be sure that our crew will make sure we go to some great locations, with hearty warm food and a cold drink to round of some great sailing days in the warming spring sun.

Area Information
Sailing from Korfos to Kefalonia through the Corinth Canal is an unforgettable journey combining engineering marvels and natural beauty. The trip begins at our winter base of Korfos, and stops in Epidavros, and Corinth, with its rich ancient heritage, before entering the dramatic Corinth Canal—a narrow, 6-kilometer-long waterway carved through towering limestone cliffs. As your yacht glides through this iconic passage, the sheer vertical walls create a breathtaking sense of scale. Exiting into the Ionian Sea, the voyage continues westward, passing scenic coastlines, charming harbors, and the island of Trizonia. Kefalonia, the largest of the Ionian Islands, awaits with its stunning beaches, emerald waters, and quaint villages. This route offers a perfect blend of cultural discovery, natural beauty, and a varied and challenging sailing experience.
