Our base at ECE Marina in Fethiye is ideally placed for exploring the many idyllic bays and coves of the Gulf of Fethiye, and beyond to Dalyan in the west or Oludeniz in the east. Visit ancient tombs, snorkel in clear turquoise water and try a traditional Turkish hammam or mud bath, all while enjoying the fantastic sailing conditions the area is known for.
The modern city of Fethiye sits in the protected Gulf of Fethiye, a magnificent playground for anyone looking for a relaxing yacht charter in Turkey, with short passages and protected anchorages. With its natural and historic sights, sun, sea and fantastic food, it is also well worth a stay before or after your charter.
Expect offshore north-westerly winds of 15 to 20 knots. The area is exposed to the Meltemi, which picks up in the afternoon to around Force 4, alongside local and katabatic winds, and there are plenty of sheltered anchorages and coves for the evening. We rate the area experience level 1.

Sample itinerary
A suggested seven-night route along the Lycian coast, from Butterfly Bay to Patara, Kaputas and Kas.
Day1
Arrive in Fethiye and, after check-in, set sail for Cold Water Bay: 2 to 3 hours’ sailing, giving you time to get to know your yacht.
Day2
A short, relaxing hop, leaving time to explore, relax or go sightseeing.
Day3
The ruins of the Lycian city of Patara are just a few metres from the beach and easy to reach on foot. The Greek sun god Apollo is said to have been born here.
Day4
Widely regarded as one of the best beaches in Turkey, set between two high cliffs that show off the turquoise water perfectly.
Day5
Another short hop, with plenty of time to explore the islands south-east of Kas, including the Greek island of Kastellorizo.
Day6
A great sail back up the coast towards Skopea Limani.
Day7
Don’t miss the bazaar, with a meal in one of the restaurants among the spice stalls.
Day8
Disembark and transfer to Dalaman airport.
